Description

Some time ago I lost track of just how many ACEO's I've done, this year I took a hiatus from them due to stress being too much to cope with.

~Wolftail dug this out of the a stash of art that I meant to toss out that ~lillereven snagged up and hid away, this along with another were politely requested to be finished. I couldn't be more flattered! so starting again this time with more feeling!

This is as close to a critique that I, as a free member, can give you my friend, but I will try my best.

The first thing that jumps out to me is the beautiful celtic knotwork that her hair turns into. I love a well executed celtic design, there is something about them that just takes you to another place almost. Another mindset of just how intertwined the world, and everything one it, really is to one another.

And as Kodriak said, her ghostly appearance is a beautiful effect that, unless you look at only for a split second (which, to me is impossible) you can't miss. It adds alot of emotion and personality to the peice (and her character) that just really helps bind it all together.

But the thing that gets me, as always with your art, is her stunning features. You have a gift when it comes to capturing emotions, and then projecting them onto a character's face in such a way that you imediately want to reach out, and comfort this poor being. She just looks so sad, lonely and hurt...like she lost something dear to her, and you can't help by catch that twinge of sadness.

Again, it is the subtlest of details that I tend to find the greatest enjoyment out of. Such as her jewelry and the laces around her arm, but the thing that sticks out the most to me, in the area of the small details, is the small lotus flower that seems ever omnipresent in your art. It is almost like your trademark now, that I know it must be one of your peices when I see it with this kind of character ( let alone your very unique art style.)

I mean, I can never get enough of your art, and it is to the point that when people ask me " Who is your favorite artist?" I have to show them your work. It is beautiful and inspiring, regardless of what peice it is, there is always something I can write about from it, and I wish I had money, so I could by large framed copies of these peices, especially the ones like this that I find myself sitting and looking at for hours.

Thank you for gracing our world with such art, it is a rare thing to impress me to this extent, but you have managed to do it, and for that, I am thankful.

Ava friend,
